Sharp County Historical Society was pleasantly surprised when contacted by Arkansas Historic Preservation Program to put the Hardy Downtown Historic District on the Walks Through History tour map. Based on the crowd of over 50 people, the two hour tour was a hit for locals who wanted to learn more about the history of downtown.

Hardy City Council Fills Vacant Seat…Accepts Bid For Passenger Van
Hardy City Council appointed Danny Eitel to the seat left vacant by Greg Bess at their meeting on June 21. Big parts of the council meeting were the acceptance of a bid to sell the city van, public participation and an update on the EEOC complaint against Mayor Nina Thornton and the city of Hardy.
